Does anyone know how to set up a "door" to be opened with a crow bar?here's what I know. I'm working in the newcity.WAD I'm using door3, which I believe is the only one that will work. I entered 2 in the OCB for the door. But I'm not sure if triggers are required? at present the door won't open. I just get a "no" from lara. any ideas? IP: Logged |

The only time I can remember using the crowbar to open doors was in the coastal ruins. In the city it was mostly normal doors and blow-up doors. I think.IP: Logged |

Just enter 2 in the OCB no triggers are needed. You have to have the crowbar to open it. This should work for every door. Good Luck.------------------ Never give-up! unless the situation is hopeless:) IP: Logged |

Only use door type 5 or the door will finish opening before Lara is even done prying at it.------------------ Never give-up! unless the situation is hopeless:) IP: Logged |

Will do!I have a feeling that I may have been standing at the wrong part of the door. i.e. the centre. It's actually the opening side you have to be at. Is that right? IP: Logged |

Well I've tried again but without luck.I'm using door5, I have 2 in the OCB, The crow bar is placed in the level before the door and it just won't open. I can't work it out! Has anyone else got this to work? what's anoying is if you use a ground trigger it will open like it's being crow bared, bit by bit. IP: Logged |

Try loading up the example level from the WAD you are using. Under the 'object' pulldown menu choose 'find object' then look for door5. Go to that room and find the trigger for the door...check out everything about it. Click on the door, then the the letter 'o' on your keyboard to bring up the OCB menu to check for special settings. Check the 'set trigger type' window, etc. I know these doors work, so don't give up!!!IP: Logged |

Thanks Reb,You indirectly pointed me in the right direction. I know what I've been doing wrong and I know why I couldn't get the pickup triggers to work either. I assumed that when you put information into the OCB you click OK to input it. but no.. You have to press enter! I knew it would be something simple. IP: Logged |
